EdgeEnergy to Invest $150 Million Over Next Two Years to Manufacture in Ohio

Amid growing demand for their phase conversion technology for DC fast Chargers, EdgeEnergy continues an aggressive growth trajectory.

Cincinnati, Ohio, February 15, 2023 – EdgeEnergy, Inc., a leading provider of power conversion equipment for EV fast charging solution, today announced that the company will be investing $150 million dollars over the next two years in Ohio as they expand manufacturing and grow their company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“The need for a solution that eliminates the long lead times for three-phase infrastructure upgrades and makes it faster and cheaper to install DC fast chargers across the U.S. continues to grow. Charging networks are continuing to experience long delays for the installation of traditional three-phase power upgrades. The delays are often months if not years long and threaten to take us off course from our goals for EV Charging Infrastructure in the U.S.”, says Greg York, CEO and Founder of EdgeEnergy.

The investment EdgeEnergy is making includes engineering and other skilled manufacturing jobs and creates opportunities for our manufacturing partners to expand their business and grow along side EdgeEnergy.

Demonstrating its commitment to creating high-quality jobs, EdgeEnergy is a participant in the White House Infrastructure Talent Pipeline Challenge, a nationwide initiative to create equitable job opportunities in growing industries, such as electrification. EdgeEnergy is working with community partners as well as industry partners like Blink Charging to develop a job training program that will be available online and in-person at their Cincinnati facility. The program will be focused on technical training for the maintenance of charging stations and will provide a valuable talent pipeline for industry partners for skilled workers in the growing EV Infrastructure industry.

“EdgeEnergy is thrilled with the reaction to our technology in the industry and the ongoing growth we have experienced over the last two years,” said Jon Holland, Chief Financial Officer at EdgeEnergy. “We are getting great response from some very big names in the industry and we are eager to expand our workforce and manufacturing capacity amid and exciting period of growth for our company.”
